week 10

  Hello everyone! Word of the week is 나무 (nahmoo) This means tree. My first area is 분당 (Bundang) It is the most northern area in my mission. A little miracle: I went to church on Sunday and guess what I found on the wall. A picture of my teacher Sister Davis  from the training center! I recognized the picture from a story she shared about a guy she was able to help teach and he got baptized a little  over a year ago! His name is 김광섭. I looked around for him at church because I wanted to talk to him about her being  my teacher. Or at least try to with my broken Korean. I didn't see him. I asked my companions about him and they said he doesn't really come to church anymore. I have not stopped  thinking about him! I am determined to find and talk with him, and I will. I'm in a trio! I love my companions so much. One was born and raised in Washington and her family is Korean. The  other is from Seoul! She is here on temporary reassignment while she waits for he...

I love 햇빛. Significant events this week: • received our flight plans!   안녕하세요 여러분 Hello everyone Significant events this week: • Trip to the Health Clinic and Health Center (got to escape the MTC gates) • bought a map from the MTC store • President and Sister Farnes devotional - my favorite one so far and I could write a WHOLE other email about     this specifically • I got a package from my best friend!! • I got my visa  A bit of a different format this time, we'll see how it goes. I studied gratitude this week. How much of life do we miss by waiting to see the flowers before thanking God that there is rain? Im sure you've heard this before, but it's a good question. How much of the journey do we miss by waiting for the end goal before thanking God for the opportunity? This week we had government officials from Kyrgyzstan tour the MTC. Week 7

친구와 가족! Friends and family! 친구와 가족! Friends and family! On a scale of 2-7 my week was a 9.  How?  I'll tell you. Guys, I absolutely love being a missionary.  It is not easy that's for sure. So many hard things hit you randomly that seem too small to be so hard. Like missing hiking. But I love it, hard things and all. Although missing things from home can momentarily be hard, it just makes me realize how much I love them, and how grateful I am to love something so much. 18 days till we fly to Korea! This week they were training a group of new mission presidents here so members from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve and Area 70 have been here. SUNDAY I studied about Christ's atonement. I focused a lot on the Intercessory Prayer. This is the prayer Jesus gave in the Garden of Gethsemane while He was suffering. He prays for us. An intercessor is someone who stands between you and someone who wants to punish you.  I'm sure at some point in our lives we've all...
